* Please note mistake on #9 with regards to monotonic theorem.

I was interpreting fx(x) = 1/2,  not g(x) = (X+1)^2.

The work done on #9 is correct, there is also a monotonic shortcut on the last page. Know both ways in case your function is not monotonic.
