Canvas Page - Good Example

Welcome to the Canvas Accessibility Page!

Overview

This is a great example of how you may have the best of intentions to create a great and colorful canvas page, but it does not always work out the way you have planned.

Resources

However, if you want to learn how to get around some of these accessibility mistakes, there are a lot of great resources available on the Canvas Blog. Though well intentioned, there are some small changes that can be made to any content to provide more accessibility for all students.  Remember, Canvas itself provides a great level of accessibility, but it is only as accessible as the content that you upload.  Your images, PowerPoints, Word Documents and PDFs, may not be accessible in their own format.  We don't expect you to remember everything and strongly encourage that you ask for help when needed!  Contact the ATC or Office of Disability Services if you have any questions on making your content accessible.

Example Assignment

Take this picture as an example of an assignment.  Would you be able to tell me what is in the picture below if you had a visual disability?
