Create Discussion Boards
To create a discussion for your course, go to the desired course and click on Discussions.
Click on the +Discussion button.
Give the discussion board a title and provide instructions in the rich content editor. You can also link to files and images within the rich content editor.
Under Options, check Allow threaded replies (1) if you would like to allow students to reply to one another's posts. Check Graded (4) if you want this discussion to show up in your Gradebook. If you click on Graded, more options will pop up, including a space to add a point value to the graded discussion.
When you are finished adding your specifications, click on Save and Publish.
To allow students to attach files to discussion posts, go to the desired course and click on Settings. Under the Course Details tab, scroll to the bottom and click on More Options. Check the box next to “Let students attach files to discussions”. Then select Update Course Details.
