Instructions

For this assignment, please fork Solar System Links to an external site. and do the following: 

  • Use this Solar System viz as a template to visualize the relative size of various numbers. You can enter the data by hand, similar to how the data for planets is represented. Some ideas: top 5 richest people, top 5 largest corporations, top 5 countries by population, top 5 languages spoken by population, etc. The labels should be included. This could be even be a few values from a dataset you choose for the other assignment. Suggestion: take the square root of the value so that the area corresponds to the value, not the radius. Be sure to link back to the original data source!

Grading Criteria

  • If Option A, -10 points for missing labels, -10 points for not citing the data source
  • If Option B, you'll get full marks if you do anything at all, but take it as an opportunity to experiment and learn!
