Lab# 5 Draft BIM Execution Plan

In this Lab you will use the tool Plannerly to create a draft version of a BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for the Parking Garage Project. The owner wants to reduce the number of RFI during construction, therefore he wants implementation of BIM during the design to help to achieve this goal.

You were asked to produce a first draft of the BEP for this project with strong focus in support the reducing of RFIs during construction.

For creating your draft of the BEP it is strongly recommended that you review the video you will need to complete the following tasks:

  1. Please log into Plannery Platform https://plannerly.com/ Links to an external site. and create a free user account
  2. Read the entire BIM-Project-Execution-Planning-Guide-Version-3.0.pdf Download BIM-Project-Execution-Planning-Guide-Version-3.0.pdf
  3. Read and analyze the WPI_Field-Garage_Presentation.pdf Download WPI_Field-Garage_Presentation.pdf
  4. Create the draft of the BEP in Plannerly, you may review the Plannerly Tutorials for completing the draft. Also, you may use the "English - Penn State" template or one similar and select the sections that apply to your BEP. Understanding is the new free version only allows so many sections. provide the maximum amount allowed.
  5. Edit and adjust the sections to be adapted to the context of the project. For some specific data, such as phone numbers, email and so on, please fill it with fictitious information. For this exercise there is no need to create any process map of section F, use only a narrative.
  6. When finish please set all the sections of your BEP to shared.
  7. Submit a brief report with your experience in completing this lab
