Since the late 1960s, instructional technology has been an important part of WPI's academic programs and the ATC has served as a hub for the exploration, development and dissemination of technology solutions that enhance teaching and learning at WPI.

The Academic Technology Center (ATC) supports the teaching and learning process by offering a wide variety of services for students, faculty and staff, including the learning management system, classroom technology, instructional design, collaboration tools, and multimedia production.

To address the communication and presentation needs of the WPI community, the ATC provides training and equipment loans related to multimedia projects, including video production and large format poster printing. The ATC also supports campus events through the delivery of AV technical assistance and equipment loans.
