This is the Canvas course for PH 1121, Principles of Physics-Electricity and Magnetism (with calculus). Joining remotely

Please attend class in person everytime it is safe and reasonable for you to do so. Much of this class is interactive, and you will learn best by being there in-person. However, if you cannot attend in-person, you can still participate synchronosly via Zoom at this link (meeting ID: 983 9682 2032). I will try to remember to start Zoom at the beginning of each class, but I will often forget, so please send me an email ahead of time if you plan on joining via Zoom. That way I will know to have Zoom running for you, and I can send you PDF copies of whatever printouts we will be using that day. If you join via Zoom, please interact with others in the Zoom room as if you were sitting at a table together in person. The Zoom sessions will not be recorded; class recordings will happen via Echo360.

If I am showing slides in the classroom they often won't appear clearly in the Zoom camera. However, the projector screen is directly connected in Echo360. You should be able to view the screen synchronously by streaming the recording for the present day. Find it in the list on the Echo360 page. Those recordings will remain available after class ends, so if you cannot join at all you can still get a sense of what we did in class by viewing the recording.
