FAQs

  • Funding Requests:
    • Where do I submit a funding request?
      • The funding request form on SGA's myWPI page. Instructions on how to do so can be found here and more information to know before submitting can be found here.
    • When is financial board?
      • Financial Board takes place on Wednesday 6-8pm in the CC Taylor Room.
    • When will my request be heard?
      • Funding requests by default will be heard the Wednesday immediately prior to the "funds needed by" date in the Funding Request Form
    • When do I present?
      • Your funding request will be at heard at latest the Wednesday before you list funds as due. You will receive an email by Tuesday night at the latest with your presentation time.
    • How do I submit my presentation?
      • Once you've received your presentation time, please send your presentation to sgafrachair@wpi.edu by 3pm Tuesday (unless otherwise specified in the scheduling email).
    • How do I appeal the decision on my funding request?
      • Please email the SGA treasurer within 24 hours of the decision being sent, including the reason for the appeal.
    • What does it mean if my FR was approved with a stipulation?
      • The request amount of funds has been approved, but may not be used until the club has met or emailed with the Financial Senator assigned to the request to go over the stipulations and make any changes Financial Board requested
    • When do I get reimbursed?
      • If you have submitted report forms to SGA, reimbursement time is dependent upon the WPI accounting department. If you have not yet submitted your Funding Request Report form instructions on how to do so can be found here and more information to know after submitting can be found here

    • Where do I submit a budget?
    • When are budgeting workshops?
    • What goes in my budget?
      • Recurring costs that have been either:
        • Successfully Funding Requested in the past two years.
        • In one of the past two years' budgets.
